We are delighted that Newtown GAA has been awarded a Gold Healthy Club Status from Croke Park., this is the highest standard of Healthy Club.

This award reflects how our club policies, partners, activities & environment are aligned with supporting the holistic health of our members and community. We were delighted to be accepted on to Phase 5 of the Healthy Club Project which commenced in Feb '22 and are thrilled to achieve Gold status in our first accrediation.

This achievement is the compilation of just 18 months of work with like-minded people who are invested in a healthier and more inclusive club and community. Thank you to our Healthy Clubs Team, Newtown Gaa Club Executive & Wicklow Health & Wellbeing Committee for all their support and in particular David Murray, Chair of Wicklow Health & Wellbeing committee.

It doesn't stop there, looking forward to so much more as we continue on our H.C. journey, it's not all about the accreditation, it's about continuing to strive to ensure that everyone who engages with our club does so in a health enhancing way.
